Vacation, Emergency room, DMV.

Man this week has been so crazy. Chris has the whole week off for his vacation at work to help us move into and unpack our new home. He took his car to get it all inspected, titled in Texas, and to get his new Texas drivers License. I went with him to get my new Texas drivers license as well. Oh man, what an ordeal. I, Jolene, have always had perfect vision. 15/20. I was talking with the woman at the counter, telling her my address and all my new info. Then she says look in here and tell me what you see. I, being so proud of myself, say, well it's fuzzy, I can't see it, the machine must be getting old. She said, so sweetly, "No sweety, I need you to read line 5." I could read the right side just fine, but oh man was the left side off. It took my about 7 minutes, she finally said, "That's close enough." And gave me a license. I was really getting nervouse and scared that I may not get it. But I did.
YAY!!! My blind husband of course had no problem.
Oh, that's not all. Later that same day. Chris and I are unloading the Tahoe of all the new stuff we bought for our house. Blinds, cleaning supplies, etc. I am unlocking the front door, when I hear....."jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene.......I need a towel, ER, blood."
I was a little nervous, I dropped my things, I grabbed a towel, I set Chris down in the kitchen, as he was about the pass out from all the blood, and pain. He didn't know exactly what he did, but he knew he needed to go NOW.
We drive very fast by the way. You won't catch me going over 45 down beach street, for this I was crusing at about 60-65. There was blood everywhere, I kept talking to Chris I wasn't sure if he had passed out, or not. I kept making him drink a bottle of water.
We get to the care now, they took him right in. He layed down on the table, and he was all of a sudden feeling a whole lot better.
After 2 hours, 2 x-rays, 2, stitches, and 2 shots latter, Chris had snapped his finger in our Tahoe's back door to where it ripped his entire fingernail OFF. It didn't just tear it, or cut it, or pinch it, O,F, F, OFF. It ripped the whole nail OFF. It was on our driveway when we got home. He ripped off the nail, split open the skin underneath to the bone, which is why he needed to stickes, he also got a fracture in the bone where that happened too.
He is feeling much better, expecially with the druggs we got him. Our cats are helping take care of him, and having cable tv for the first time since we've been married, I think he'll recover just fine.
Man what a day it has been.

Thats disgusting. And I want to be a trauma nurse! Ok, I can handle the holes in the head, limbs bending the wrong way, and huge amounts of gushing blood, but it is the nasty finger (and toe) things that make me go EWWWWWWWW!!!
