with Pregnancy comes Change

As many of you know, I was very sick the first couple weeks of my pregnancy. Well, I should say week 8-14. I thought for a few weeks that I would miss that stage, and breeze right on by, and never get sick. Well, there's a funny thing that happens once you've been that sick, (I will refer to this as "progesterone poisoning" not morning sickness, see previous post about "girl friends guide to pregnancy" it's a must read.) Anywho...once you've been sick, there are things that you will maybe never be able to eat again in your whole life. Here are a few of those things for me....

Another thing that has changed, is my hands and feet, (along with the rest of my body I should say.) I have officially outgrown my wedding ring. It's a combination of getting married after dancing for 6 years and being in "good" shape, moving to Texas and the heat, and being pregnant. All of these combined, I had to set my wedding ring aside, (don't worry it's in our safety deposit box), and buy a fake ring to get me by. It's been kind of fun. People are noticing the change, and asking if Chris was given a raise at work....I just laugh.
Here is the first public photo of me being pregnant. I thought black was nice, it's a little slimming. I have not gained much weight for those who must ask....only 4 pounds as of last visit. (Remember though I did lose 12 during the "progesterone poisoning" stage.

Well. That's all for now. It's been super HOT in Texas, surprise!!!!!! We have had 21 days over 100*F consecutively. It did pour last night, just buckets, which was nice I didn't have to water the house today, I thought it might only be in the 90's. I was wrong. (Yes, I did say water my house. In Texas you have to water the foundation, slab, or you'll get cracks in the foundation and walls.)

Until Next Time.....

Oh, sister! No more twix or poptarts???? That IS sad. I still can't eat string cheese and it's been almost 11 years.

The magpie in me LOVES your new BIG, shiny ring.

Hang in there! This is part of the adventure.
