I called my OBGYN, but to make sure that a rash on my arm won't hurt Carter...good news, it won't. Bad news, it's most likly a food allergy I developed while pregnant. Some people say something like citus, oranges, strawberry, and tomoatos build up in my system, and my liver is having trouble breaking it down now that I am pregnant.
I called my family doctor, and they are closed till Monday, so I will be calling them then. I don't feel like it's an emergency. All I know is that I am taking the max healthy amount of Benadryl allowed and aveno anti-itch cream. (that's what my OB said was okay for me to use.)
I must say I love having a baby boy in me, andbeing pregnant, but at the same time I am so miserable right now. I itch everywhere, all hours of the day and night. I am not comfortable sitting, standing, laying down, I don't like sleeves on my arms, but it's cold now...figures, it was in the 70-80's till today. I am also so confused on what is good and not good to eat.
Anywho. Other than that Carter is good moving much more, Chris is good, and I just keep telling myself.
"This is the day the Lord has made......
I WILL rejoyce and be glad in it."

oh Jolene that's awful! I'm so sorry you're so miserable! And not knowing what caused it is frustrating, are you just going back to basics with food then? I'll be praying you get relief soon! You have the right perspective though! There are so many things like this that will happen when your pregnant and nursing that really confirm you are not in control of your body anymore, and that your discomfort is second to the baby's health, and you are handling it well! Carter's lucky to have you :)
PS if you already talked to Dr Allen then you've probably got it solved, but my friend had a pregnancy rash at the end of her pregnancy...PUPPS I think...anyway, not saying this is that, but they were able to prescribe her something stronger when it got real bad...just in case this gets worse, you may ask...hopefully you won't need too though!
Jolene your on the home stretch, I know it's difficult and I pray you'll fell better soon holding a healthy Carter in your arms.
Drink a lot of water I know you'll be in the bathroom non stop. Rest, hard to do even when you have a million pillows.
Love, Shelley
Sorry you are so uncomfortable lately :( I hope your doctor can help you on Monday. That is such a drag to be so itchy all the time and can't do much about it. I'll be praying for you!
