Mystery Item

There's been an unsolved mystery going on in our home since we brought home Koda. Chris and I were not watching one day last year when we first brought home Koda and in about 20 minutes Cotton, our grey cat, lost his collar.

Now we have 2 very well behaved cats, if you know me....just go with it okay. So I knew it wasn't the cat's fault that the collar was gone. Of course the new puppy must have had something to do with it. After a few weeks of looking, I resorted to belive that Koda must have eaten the collar.. seems gross I know, but when he was a puppy he ate everything, zippers, thumb tacks, carpet, anything. So a collar wasn't out of the question.

Well the last few nights, once I lay my head on my pillow, I am not wokenup by Carter, but the noise of the cats on the kitchen cabinets. Not counters, cabinets. I always see my decorations rearranged in the morning on the cabinets. I had it last night, I told Chris, you better go make sure Courderoy knows he is in trouble. ( I always asume it's Courderoy, not Cotton. Cotton I haven't ever seen jump up on the counters.) Well Chris comes back into our room, at about 11pm last night, trying to be oh so quiet, not to wake Carter in his swing....yup, won't sleep in the crib still, but the swing.

To my surprise he walks in, after 1 year, and puts Cotton's collar on my hand and says, look what I found on top the cabinets tonight. The cats were playing with it.

Mystery Solved. I feel guilty now for blaming Koda all this time, when Cotton must have been fighting with Courderoy on top the cabinets and had his collar ripped off.
