SO first of all we switched from Verizon to OneSource (A local company, we get so much more for less $$$$. Y'all know the deal)
So I didn't have internet today and it's too late to wait to post a video, but I'll post tomorrow.
A quick sleep update.
It's been 1 week since we stopped allowing Carter to sleep in the swing. He now likes to sleep laying down. He doesn't require to sit up in the swing or car seat. The first few nights were long. He doesn't cry a lot, he just wants to be held. His naps are getting almost clock work. I still read his signs, but he's very predictable.
THe last two nights he slept a 5.5 hour stretch. That's GREAT!!!! It's not "all night" for other babies at his age, but according to the doctors a 5 or 6 hour stretch is all night for his age. He goes to sleep at 830 and wakes around 2 to 3ish. Then again at 530 and wakes up at 730, I LOVE IT....I am finally getting better sleep at night.
He is a great nap taker too. He can be put down almost fully awake, which Chris did this morning, and he fell asleep in about 3 minutes. He stll doesn't understand that we can stand and watch him, just far enough away.
The key I have learned to our baby Carter, is to swaddle him. His arms and legs twitch, it's a baby thing, anywho, we think that's what wakes him up. So problem solved.......for now. TOday it was about 89F. (I know Oregon got snow, and we are feeling the heat. I love it.) I am not sure how long we can bunddle him up when it gets really hot.
Side note, for those who worry about me overheating him,....I have an alarm, it's called an angel monitor, I recommend it to everyone, my friend Kara recommended it to me. It really keeps my nerves down for Sids. If there's no movement for 15 secondsa lound alarm will sound. (so if he stops breathing it will sound.) It's amazing how sensative the alarm is, it can be felt under the mattress.
I know he is still young, I don't expect him to have a perfect sleep routine every day. But when I go back to work in 2 weeks, :o( I want a semi-regular routine. It will help him and me transition I think.
