Tummy Time

Carter hates to be on his stomach. He would much rather lay on his back all day long. I have to give him some time, so I try everything, but he continues to cry. He used to like it.

Once he hit 6 weeks, everything changed. He sleeps in the swing for naps, hates tummy time, won't sleep with me anymore for naps. I broke down today, trying so hard to get him to sleep in his crib, I was holding a pacifier in his mouth for about 20 min. (I gave up and put him in the swing) He slept last night in the swing till Chris got home, and he put him in the crib. I did a good job of feeding him quietly, and softly rocking him back to his crib, but that only lasted 1 hour, then back in the swing. He doens't even need it on, he just likes it better. Hey whatever makes him sleep. He still hasn't slept more than 4,5 hours in a row yet. Last night was close 7-10:30....oh, nope that's only 3.5. It probably would have been longer, had we not moved him to the crib. Then 11:15-3:45, (there's 4.5) Anywho. He isn't a big screamer when we hold him, or rock him, but I am getting tired at night.

Lissa cried a lot because she had colic. It didn't matter what I did. She just cried so then I changed my diet and that changed her diet. But she seemed to get air in her tummy because she was a fast eater.
It's a Stuewe trait to eat fast.
It's been awhile but no carbonated drinks, no chocolate, fried stuff, you know the things we love to eat.
But she grew out of it eventually.
My mom use to tell me it doesn't hurt for a baby to cry it develops good lungs.

I am so sorry about all the crying. I know it is frustrating because you try so many different things. And being overly tired yourself makes it more emotional. I wish we were close by so we could babysit for a day and let you get caught up on your sleep. Hang in there. It will get better.
