Carter loves looking at this photo of us.I know it's been a while since I really posted much about what's going on these days.
I went back to work March 13th, and my mom was here for 2 weeks to visit. It was so great having her here, so I could get used to the transition while Carter was at home with her. When she left, Chris' parents came for 2 weeks. It was so great to have them here and help with Carter. They also helped us get a vegtable garden going in the back yard, which Chris and I finished on Easter. Chris parents left on April 9th, and I gave my 2 week notice on April 10th. I want to be home with Carter so bad. Pray that God will continue to give us what we need.
During that last month, Chris and his dad went to Nascar weekend ina suit, thanks for our friend Joe. We ate dinner with my aunt and uncle from Frisco, ate at Rudy's, got a highchair for Carter, and so much more. I am going to be watching Katelyn once I stay at home too.
God provided for us this week: on Monday after work, I went to Kara's home to pick up Carter. (On a side note he had a great time. He was soo good for them, and he was entertained by Kara's kids.) Anywho, on my way home the Tahoe stopped working..... I don't mean, "oh, golly, I should maybe pull over." I mean...."AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" I was going 60 miles per hour with NO BRAKES!!!!!! No air, radio, brakes, steering...NOTHING!!!!It was 545 rush hour, on HWY170, praise the Lord I was in the slow lane, and I was going uphill, which slpwed me down, and there was no one behind me.... When I got going slow enough I put on the e-brake and called Chris, I said I needed help, he left work right away to come get me and Carter. I called AAA, (THANK YOU AGAIN MOM AND DAD FOR THAT.) AAA was there within 15 minutes with a tow truck. (I learned that I was the "hot" call...becuase I was blocing traffic, woman with a baby.) After about 1 minute in the car I knew it wasn't a safe place for us, so I jumped out the passanger door, grabbed Carter and we stood in the grass on the side of the freeway. I have to say I was pretty upset that no one stopped for me, not that I needed it, but come on...woman with baby...
Here's where God provided for us. When I got home I got the mail and I had a refund check from my OB for having Carter. I forgot that I prepaid everything, and he ws earily and my delivery was quicker and easier than expected. The refund check covered the entire cost of fixing the car.
Today however I couldn't make it to work, since the car is still there. (Oh darn, a day with Carter)
Carter has been fussier than normal for me around nap times, yesterday was just horrible. Today I tried a passifier, he never got it before, but today I out him down awakeish, he was just screamin' I put a pacifier in his mouth....SILENCE. It's been 1 hour. I went to check on him after about 15 minutes and this video is what I saw...
SO CUTE.

We are sooo glad everything turned out ok for you. Love the pictures!!!! However, I can't believe out of all the pictures you chose the one where I was sleeping. Very funny. Love, Linda
Thanks for the update Jolene, what are you growing in your garden?
I love the LONG post :) I was sippin on coffee while reading it too! I am so l glad you and Carter are ok, and that your check covered what it cost to get your car fixed. What a blessing. I miss you guys so much and love you lots too!
TIP!!! :
If you haven't put dirt down in your raised flower beds yet, put about two inches of newspaper down first and line the walls. It will keep the grass out... but still allow the plants to grow. The plants can break through the newspaper if they need.
Thanks for all the pictures:) He is so fun to look at! I am sure you agree!
