My dad came to visit for a week. It was so great seeing him again, and showing off Carter. We really took advantage of him being here. I know he likes to work in the yard, so we got so much done.
My dad helped me with the vegy garden, to weed it, fertilize it, and he helped with the upside down tomatoes, hanging on the corner of the house. He also mowed and trimmed the yard. (He helped get rid of the weeds where a bunny had been housing himself, just waiting for my vegies to ripen....I used to love bunnies, and I thought it was so cute when I saw him in our yard, that was until Chris brought to my attention that he probably had other motives of finding his way to our yard. So instead of any harm we just mowed away his hideout. Can you also see the mote looking path from where I am standing to the back windows. That's from Koda running from the sliding dorr to our bedroom windows. He has created a little path.
My dad also helped us plant two trees in our yard. He did say they were a little too far for a hamock, but that's okay. They are silver maples.
Carter and daddy. Carter had a lot of trouble with his naps last week. He sleeps like a jem at night, but he refuses to nap sometimes, but he is also so cranky and tired...so Chris helped me out.
Chris, Bobby and my dad all put the new engine in the car this last weekend too. (I am telling you, we were busy) It still isn't all put back together. I promise I will update when it starts. I am so exited to have 2 cars again.)
Carter's 5 month photos. He was posing with Cotton. Doesn't Cotton look so exited to be there
Carter is really starting to like Koda a lot. He laughs when Koda plays fetch, and always reaches for him. Koda is really good with Carter. He does get away a little with licking his hands, but I just wash Carter's hands after we play with the puppy. (Carter was posed, he can't crawl yet.)
We bought Carter a bunch of new toys this weekend too. Chris thought it would be fun to put all the rings on Carter's arm. We also got a tickel me Elmo, which he is very infatuated with.
Carter loves to play in the bath a lot now. He likes the bubbles, and I use a Rudy's cup to pour water on him, (No pictured, Rudy's is a BBQ place here, it's just a plastic cup.) But Chris also drinks from one sometimes, and Carter reached for it at dinner one night, and HCris spilled Coke all over him. I personally thought it was hillarious. Carter recognized the cup.
This weekend Carter also got his first taste of rice cereal. He relaly liked it. He ate the whole bowl the first night. He was messy, but he really liked it. We give him about 4-6 table spoons at night now, and he loves it. By the second night he had figured out he opens his mouth and it gets in easier. He's so smart.

Love the update! The photos are great. Since Carter likes rice cereal maybe he will be able to help you finish off that big bag of rice. Just kidding. That's great he likes taking baths since boys can get so dirty. Sounds like you are keeping Dale busy. It sure helps to have an extra set of helping hands from time to time.
Your garden looks great! Looks like Carter loves his pets :)
Thanks for the update, I love hearing what you guys do day to day. It seems like you have a blast together!
