Texas Visit

First of all, here's a picture of my watermellons. I didn't forget about my garden. It's been growing things for us, and doing great. We have made many notes, and we know what we want to change for next year too. These were not large watermellons, and I hesitated to pick them, but Chris' mom taught me a lot. I am now able to better tell when they are ready to be picked. Here they are, and I have already eaten almost the whole small one. They are the best, sweetest watermellon I have ever had. Ever.


Chris' parents came to visit last week. I actually flew with them from Oregon to Texas last Sunday. What a busy week. Chris' parents went "home hunting" They are going to winter down here starting this October, and looked a a lot of places. They are going to be just down the road. We went to Mikayla Looney's 4th birthday party at Jump!Zone. Carter liked it, yet he was a little scared of the slides.

We also took a few walks to the pond. Koda our dog.....well....he loves walks, but he's not too good at fetch. It's more of a toss, catch and hide game. So you better be prepared with many backup sticks. Carter loves to watch. He also liked having a birds eye view from Grandpa Knapp.

Carter is trying to push, pull, walk, do everything on everything. This photo was talen moments before he walked into and tripped over the bad he's hanging on to.....face plant.....thus, his newest bruise.

Grandma and Grandpa went to Costco with us, and let Carter pick out a new horse to have. He went for the brown one, (mommy liked that one the best too.) It rocks, and makes noise, and even shakes it's littke tail, it's really cute.

While we were at Costco I wanted to see what size costume might fit, ..... we didn't buy one. You can tell his enthusiasm for things on his head.
