Trip to Oregon....

I have always looked up to my cousin's Carmen and Lissa, and as we get older it still hasn't changed. I always pay attention to what they are doing, and it actually has really shaped a lot of who I am. ( I could go on and on about them, their influence, and how great they are....)

One thing I learned from my cousin Carmen, (besides taking risks and not being afraid to move to another state.) was that if you are going to be in another state, and you want to visit with your parents, sometimes it is nessisary to not tell anyone you are coming to visit.

So that's just what I did.

I went to Oregon, and told no one. It was tough, because there are so many great friends I wanted to see, but there just is never enough time.

Chris and I flew up last week and he left the next morning with a truck that was gifted to us, and he drove back to Texas. Carter and I enjoyed relaxing with my mom and dad with no agenda. Accept Carter was sick, so he wasn't quite himself. Those late night plane flight stink. (If traveling with a baby and stuff, and you have to switch planes, take your stroller. Thank you thank you thank you Kara for talking me into it....best advice ever.)
Here are some pics of Carter while we were there.

eating a teething cookie. He loves them, but gets soooo messy.

eating rocks at my parents house.

He got a few new adventure marks while we were there. He smacked his face on the fireplace, got his hand stepped on, etc.

I flew back Sunday with Chris' parents. It was so great to not have to travel alone with a wiggle worm. He did really well on the flights though, but it was so nice to have help.

I get it you wanted time alone with your fam, and so it should be that way :) I hope you had a wonderful relaxing time while you were here :)
