We also stopped by the elementary school Chris and I went to, while on our walk, so Carter could play. he really likes the slides and swing.

Notice the jackets we all have on....it's August in Oregon, and yes, a coat was needed.

"daddy, how do I get it down?"

He walks with such purpose

My friend Heather stopped by early one morning to see me, but mostly the kids. We took many photos, and seriously these were the best ones. (I bet her camera got better ones.) But with Carter being so wiggly, it was tough to get a good one.

I went to Washington Square with my mom and met my friend Courtney and her daughter Elle. Carter and Elle got to ride Clifford. It was moving, and I was on the wrong setting, but Carterwas having so much fun. He was soooo tired though, he fell asleep after we left the mall, before we even got out of the row we parked in, he was out.

My mom bought Carter some chalk. He really liked that too.

Chase really liked my mom. She could always get him to fall asleep in her arms, and smile at her.

Chris' folks took me to see Mike's dad one day too. He got to meet his two great-grandkids. (he'd met Carter before.)

"Hi there, I'm Chase, I like you." (Chase was super happy)

My grandma Cook stopped by my folks house a few times. it was sooo good to see her and chat. She played with the kids for a bit too.

My mom, dad and I ventured down to Corvallis to visit my grandparents one day. It was a horrible trip in the car, neither kid wanted to sleep. Once one would fall asleep the other owuld hte them up. It was a Long drive. it was sooo great to see them though. I was glad to go see their place. My grandpa took me around to a few things to show me. It's been a while since I've seen all they are up to.

Once again. My mom with a sleeping kid. (Carter did actually fall asleep with my dad, but my mom carried him out to the car. Yes, he did wake up while they were buckeling him in.....and he never went back to sleep.)

Carter met a few of my cousins too. He really liked Grace. He does what I call, his alligater death roll hug. (or steam roller).

My mom, with Chase, asleep.

Carter

we walked around my grandparents property a little, and Carter insisted there was a cow. He kept pointing and saying, "cow, moooo." It was so interesting becuase there used to be cows there, but how would he have known that. Maybe it was the farm looking house.

Cow. Mooo. Cow...Mooo

My grandpa build his Miss T a while ago. It's been on trips to Indio, CA, and in a few parades in Oregon, but Grandpa has sold her to a man in CA, so it was real neat that Carter got to ride in it and see it before it leaves. (Carter wasn't too happy, he was just sooo tired.)

What a great picture. Great Grandpa and Carter in Miss T.

This was Carter leading my grandma to see the cows that he insisted were there.

Having so much fun.

My grandma gave Carter some great books too. He loves to read.

Cousins, The Next Generation.
my cousin Lissa has the cutest little baby girl in the whole world. She has such a sweat gentelness. Charlotte Ocean Forbes.
It was such a great trip to Oregon to see my family. I am sorry if I didn't get to see you, but I really wanted to spend lots of time with my mom and dad. It was their first time meeting Chase. I know they already miss the kids liek crazy. It was great staying there too, my parents stocked up on toys, and all the essentials needed, burp rags, blankets, diapers, it made travel so easy. (Well, packing.)
Travel with 2 "lap babies", it's kinda tough. In the moment we said, never again, either family comes to us, or we drive. But once we were all settled back at home, it wasn't so bad after all. Chase slept the whole time. Carter just proved he's in hie "terrible 2's". I don't blame him, it much be so hard to sit for 4.5 hours without much to do.
