This is for my mother....
I promised I will keep y'all posted about the hurrakane's. You may remember from my previous post that we are so far from the coast that hurricanes don't have much of any effect on us at all. Well this one is supposed to still be a category 1 when it hits us at Dallas/Fort Worth, and dump up to.......15 inches of rain......that's what they are saying, you know they overpredict. Anywho...It's about 600-700 miles accross, Ike is...so it's going to hit us, but we just don't know how much rain, or how fast the wind, the flooding. So I promised I will keep y'all updated. I do have to work Sat. Chris is going to drive me to work, and I will being LOTS of food incase I get stuck at work. Chris will pick me up, and we'll eveluate everything else from there, church, and birthday parties, etc....

Thank you for the concern. I will update asap....(remember, I may loose power, so family please call my mother for updates. I know her, she'll be able to get ahold of me....she always does....and I know truly she isn't worried about me....just Carter.) :o)

we've gotten about 8 inches of
rain in the past few days. we are getting a depression from the west coast that has lots of amazing moisture for us. I don't think we'll get any rain from Ike. We got some from the last one that hit texas
i'll be keeping an eye on the weather to see what's happening in your area! it will for sure be an adventure!
