He always sleeps with his glowworm on his left side, and he always turns to look at it.
I have found him in the mornings lately playing with his blanket with all the tags on it too. (blue blanket with lambs.)
Well the day has come and gone. When Carter turned 5 months old, there were a couple nights that he was fussy and didn't want to sleep and I just wanted to let him cry. However, I didn't because I didn't want to do it in the "heat of the battle" So I talked with Chris and we set a date and we decided on that day we will move Carter into his own room, and if need be let him cry. That night was last night. I did not chicken out. I did it, and it was much harder for me than Carter. First things first, I have to say we are on a new schedule that Carter, Chris and I all LOVE!!!!! I have to say thank you to Kara! This last week I was playing around with 2 or 3 naps, and what times and all that. He would take 3 naps, but I would have to fight him to sleep sometimes, so I did 2, but then they were too close together or whatever....
I did end up with 2 naps. 9 and 1. I am firm on those times. If Carter is tired at 12, too bad. He's staying up till 1. He's now in bed by 6:45. We all LOVE this routine. It means we can't do as much late at night, but Carter is going down without a fight at all. All week he went down great, so the move to his room what no big deal. It's like he really didn't even notice. I do still swaddel him though, that's something I want to slowly take away, but unfortunatly it's become his signal to sleep, I think I will just have to slwoyl do it loser or only his body, not arms and legs, and let him get used to wiggling around. We haven't reached that point yet. Just the point of a bigger blanket and the celing fan always on.
With all that said, last night I set up Carter's crib just like his pack and play was, and layed him down. I heard a little fussing, but about 1 minute later, silence for 6 hours. I do have to say though with our new routine he does wake up 2 times to eat in the middle of the night now. For the last 5 nights it's been very consistent. asleep 6:45, eat at 12:45, eat at 5:30, up at 7. Nap 9 and 1 for about 1.5-2 hours. I LOVE the routine. THANK YOU KARA!!!!!
Do you like his cars bed sheets, that's thanks to Grandpa Stuewe. (my dad)

I'm glad that you and Chris get your own room back. I know it was and probably is still hard but I think it is a really good thing. We miss you guys so much!

Changes are usually harder on Mom than on the child. Hang in there.
That was me that just did the last post. I pushed publish too soon.
