Christmas in Texas

This was our first Christmas in Texas, it was great.

Chris and I went to church Christmas eve, it was really nice and warm out by the way.

We sang a bunch of Christmas songs, then our pastor invites all the children in the church to come up on stage with him, and sit on the stairs. He then comes down and sits with them, and reads the Christmas story from Luke. It's really neat to see all the kids talk along with him about the birth of Jesus. We then all lit candles, and sang joy to the world. (It really reminded me of Chruch in Oregon.....it was a lot the same.)

When Chris and I got home Christmas eve, we watched a little TV, then we thought you know what, it would be more of a gift to eachother to sleep in, the next morning. So we opened all our gifts Christmas eve. Then we slept in on Christmas till about 10:30.

When we got up, we thought well....this is going to be our only day off together till New Years, so let's take down all the christmas stuff now. We put on music, (our new Cd's. Carrie Underwood, and Kenny Chesney) and we took down the tree, lights, decoration, everything. it was neat to be able to pack it away niceley, and together.

Later that afternoon, a couple from our Church group invited us over for dinner with their family. We gladly went, and it was so much fun. It was a lot like being with our own family. They all are kinda in the same work industry, so they talked about stories about work....kinda like how we talk about real estate, loans, property....that's what they do with their industry.

The little girl kissing a tiger is Abigail. She is Tim and Dayna's daughter, the couple's house we were at.

Christmas night, Chris and I went to go see National Treasure II. It was GREAT!!!!!!
